Benedictine Values broadside for St. Ben's / St. John's

This fall, I made a broadside of the Benedictine Values for the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's University. These broadsides were sent out to incoming students with their acceptance letters. I made the paper from abaca fibers with inclusions of Big Bluestem grasses from the Arboretum at St. John's and printed the broadsides in the Book Arts Studio at St. Ben's.

Lessons & Carols

Each year, the Minnesota Center for Book Arts publishes a collaborative book featuring Minnesota artists and writers. Lessons & Carols is Winter Book 2012. Patricia Kirkpatrick edited the moving and diverse poems and the male vocal ensemble, Cantus, built their holiday concerts in collaboration with the book. Mary Hark made the paper, Jana Pullman made the deluxe cases, and I made the images. The book was designed and printed by Sara Parr and Erin Maurelli at the Minnesota Center for Book Arts.

this spring i printed a broadside as a cover image for a small literary publication, 111O. it was released last month and it features some wonderful poems.

last day of thesis installation

yesterday was the last day of our thesis installation. here are photographs i took of my space last night.

these are from a few weeks ago when i spent three days installing this nail and thread piece on a 29" curved wall. the piece is called timbre and tension.
